Updates for Mac, iPad, iPhone Almost Here!

It’s been a little bit but we have some fantastic updates for Magic Window for Mac, iPad, and iPhone all right around the corner. We have been hard at work both enhancing the apps and creating new scenes and we can’t wait to share our latest work.

On the Mac we have 20 new scenes including many more scenes from Europe as well as an amazing winter scene we shot on Mt. Shasta. On iPad and iPhone there is a new “European Adventure” Destination that includes 16 amazing scenes from Europe. There is also another surprise Destination… but we’ll let that one wait for a minute.

By popular demand we have added an option to purchase all Destinations in this update on iOS. The new option called “Master Collection” was difficult to design because we wanted to take into account people who had already bought Destinations. We really want to treat our existing customers well, so we’ve designed a pair of upgrades so that everyone gets a good deal.

People who purchased most or all Destinations will automatically be upgraded to the new “Master Collection” for free. That’s right, when you get the next update, you will get all new scenes for free.

People who purchased a few Destinations will have the option to upgrade to the “Master Collection” for half off ($3.99). Either should be a great deal for anyone who would consider an upgrade. If you’re thinking “I should buy a few more packs now..” I wouldn’t bother trying to game it. We’ve gone out of our way to make it as fair as possible, and if for some reason the deal you get isn’t fair, please just let us know. We’re not trying to rip anyone off.

Last Days Of Sale! In-App Purchase is Back!

We’re happy to say that Apple has fixed the issue with In-App purchases and the Destinations store is back in business! Friday will be the last day of our 99c sale, so if you have been putting off buying Destinations now is the time. The price will soon return to $1.99.

In-app Purchase Problems

In-app purchases are currently partially unavailable due to service issues with Apple’s servers. We have submitted the issue to Apple and hope it will be resolved shortly. We will continue the destinations sale for several days to ensure that everyone who was trying to buy packs on sale can. Sorry for the inconvenience.

AirPlay and External Display

Just in case it wasn’t clear, the latest update still supports AirPlay and External Displays! We added an option to disable this feature for people who have docks that forced it on. You can now choose to disable or enable support for the feature from the Display section in Settings. If you are having any trouble with the feature please send us an e-mail and we’re happy to help you.

All Destinations On Sale!

Timelapsing Las Vegas

Our upcoming Las Vegas pack was a very unique pack to capture. We made all of the scenes over a 4 day weekend in Las Vegas. That weekend was highlighted by a 17 hour stretch where we spent all night shooting on the Strip and then drove out to the Hoover Dam at 4AM to capture it at sunrise. Yes, while everyone was getting drunk and partying, we were slamming Red Bull and looking for the perfect corners to hide out in and film. Something very pure and amazing starts to happen when you spend that much time sequentially shooting photos. We’re excited to share the results with you soon, though we’re saving Hoover Dam for a future pack

New York and Las Vegas Coming Friday!

We’re excited to announce that Magic Window 3.2 for iOS will be released this Friday December 9th. The new update includes two new paid destinations – New York City and Las Vegas. We also have a special surprise coming, so stay tuned.

Magic Window 3.1 Now Available!

Magic Window 3.1 for iPad and iPhone is now available! The big addition in the new update is support for external displays and AirPlay. The new AirPlay feature requires an iPad2 or iPhone 4S, and the iPad 1 and iPhone 4 can both use the new external display feature. If you experience any issues with the update please let us know.

Magic Window for Mac v1.1 Now Available!

We’re excited to announce that our first major upgrade to Magic Window for Mac is now available! New version 1.1 includes six new scenes and cool new color effects. It is available now in the Mac App Store.

For anyone wondering about the iOS5 update for iPad and iPhone, it has been held up by a bug in iOS 5.0. We will be releasing it soon after iOS 5.0.1 becomes available which should be in the next 1-2 weeks.
